Ocean View Flat is situated directly above the cliff edge at Weston in Portland. It is a paradise for rock-climbers, birdwatchers and ramblers alike.
Just a few hundred metres below, Mutton Bay is one of the most popular areas for rock climbers in the UK.
Portland itself is known as one of the UK's best known birdwatching areas, renowned for its migratory birds and passing seabirds due to its location. Nearby Chesil Beach and The Fleet attracts hundreds of migratory waterfowl. Chesil Beach is also home to Dorset's only little tern colony.
There are magnificent public footpaths, bridleways and cliff top walks right outside the front door.
Portland is only 7 miles from Weymouth, a bustling seaside town, and in close proximity to Abbotsbury, Dorchester, Bridport, Lyme Regis, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and much more. There is a regular bus service, every 10 minutes, from just down the road, which runs into the centre of Weymouth - a day ticket currently costs just £4.00.
There are also ample pubs and restaurants on the Island of Portland which cater for all tastes, or further afield in Weymouth where arguably they serve the best fish and chips in the country.
Portland is home to the National Sailing Academy and Portland Bill lighthouse is an iconic must see attraction,
